•  Can I purchase gift cards/codes?

Yes, now you can! Just click the link to the left and select a pre-determined value. The amount will be deducted from your paycheck just like any physical item, and Marketing will provide you with a code that you can then give to your intended recipient. 

 

•  How long does it take to receive my merchandise after I order it?

Generally, you should receive your merchandise approximately 3 - 6 weeks after your order is placed. If we stock the item you've ordered it should be faster, but we don't stock everything, so be prepared.

 

•  Why does it take so long to get my stuff?

We only place orders with our supplier twice per month.  Depending on when you ordered it, we may have just placed an order and yours may have to wait for the next round.

 

•  How do I know if you stock an item, or if it has to be ordered from your supplier?

You can always order any item in the store, unless the description states that the item is being discontinued. However, if an item says it is "Available", then that means we stock it and it should get to you faster. 

 

•  I couldn't enter a street address for shipping.  How do I receive my merchandise?

We only ask for your city and state as a formality.  We will send your merchandise to your work location using normal inter-office mail once we've received it from our supplier.

 

•  I can't select a payment method other than 'Invoice' (Payroll Deduction).  Can't I pay some other way?

No.  In order to make sure we are compliant with all laws regarding the not-for-profit sale of merchandise, and to ensure that payments are processed properly, we have chosen to only allow payroll deduction.

 

•  So AmeriServ isn't making a profit on the sale of these items?

Nope.  We are selling each item at as close to our cost as possible, while still allowing us to pay for taxes on applicable items and to pay for other incidental costs in running the store, such as supplier setup fees.

 

•  Do I need to fill something out in order to allow the payroll deduction for my orders?

Yes.  If you haven't already done so, you can get a copy of the form here.

 

•  Are taxes included in the price of each item?

Yes, if applicable.  Clothing items are tax exempt in the state of Pennsylvania, but some of the other items available for sale are not.  We have included any applicable taxes in the price you see listed.

 

•  Do you allow returns or exchanges?

The short answer is 'No'.  You can learn more by reading our Return Policy.

 

•  Where can I see or try on clothing samples?

We have a sample set of most clothing items in our Marketing Department at the Main Office building downtown. The exception would be the men's and women's UltraClub® polos because you should have already received a free one and know your size from that.

 

•  Are all of the store apparel items permitted to be worn on business casual days?

No.  Some of the items in our store - such as T-shirts and hats - are not work appropriate. You can see which items are acceptable by looking for the "Casual Day Approved" seal in the item description. There are also a few items which can be worn anytime.

 

•  It seems that the selection is pretty small.  Will you be offering more items in the future?

We hope so!  Right now, we're testing the waters a little to see how popular the store becomes.  If you have an idea for something we should offer, let us know!  If enough people like it, we'll do our best to get it.
